The Company is seeking a Vice President of Procurement to oversee and manage all aspects of product procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for program negotiation with manufacturers, as well as the hiring, training, coaching, and counseling of all staff members in the procurement department. This role is pivotal in achieving corporate goals, ensuring profitability related to vendor bill-back and inbound freight programs, and the development and execution of annual marketing programs. The Vice President of Procurement will also be expected to supervise associates, manage inventory levels, interact with customers and vendors, and establish procedures to enhance the efficiency of the purchasing department. Applicants for the Vice President of Procurement position at the company should have a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree. A minimum of 6-10 years' experience in procurement or a related area, with a focus on supervisory experience, is required. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years' of experience in procurement, particularly within the food service industry, and hold a Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) designation. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in procurement, a deep understanding of the food distribution industry, and the ability to improve purchasing strategies and processes. The Vice President of Procurement will be a key member of the organization, contributing to the company's success and serving its customers with the highest level of quality and service.
