The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for operations and strategy, oversee the growth and development of clinical programs, and support research to enhance the division's reputation in extramural funding. The role demands a dynamic and passionate physician leader with a proven record of success in collaborative clinical leadership, significant administrative experience, program development, scholarship, educational excellence, faculty recruitment, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of strong faculty academic experience, a proven record of extramural funding, and a background in mentorship leading to trainees' independent funding. Applicants for the Division Chief of General Internal Medicine at the company must be MD/DO or foreign equivalent, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas. The division currently has a large faculty and offers a full spectrum of preventive health services, chronic disease management, and population health management.
