The Company is seeking a Group Chief Compliance and Legal Officer to lead the development of a robust compliance architecture across multiple business lines and jurisdictions. This pivotal role is not for the faint-hearted; it demands a professional with a proven track record in multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments, including both tier-one and emerging-market regimes. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and deploying a group-wide compliance reporting framework, creating an AI-enabled legal document database, establishing internal legal SLAs, and deploying legal and compliance risk monitoring tools. Additionally, the role involves driving a live licensing and acquisition pipeline, ensuring regulatory soundness in a fast-moving, multi-asset, and multi-jurisdictional expansion program. Key responsibilities for the Group Chief Compliance and Legal Officer include overseeing all legal and compliance communications, monitoring brand, regulatory, and compliance risks, and conducting in-depth research on target markets and emerging regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong advantage in M&A and licensing fluency, as well as experience in AI-enabled legal operations. The role requires a leader who can set and enforce contract throughput standards, manage regulatory relationships, and respond to inquiries with the utmost professionalism. The position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of AI-enabled legal ops and to have a direct line to the CEO, with the authority to make fast, executive-level decisions in a dynamic, live-deal environment.
