The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President - Data Engineer to join their global investment bank. The successful candidate will be part of a growing Data Engineering function, with a focus on critical data infrastructure across the business. Key responsibilities for this role include building and enhancing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure, developing Python ETL/ELT pipelines, and complex SQL models, as well as designing and optimizing data solutions. The role is closely aligned with market data, quant, and risk teams, and the work will support areas such as market risk analytics, VaR, and stress testing. Applicants must have a proven track record in a Data Engineering or Data Development role, with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake, AWS, Python, and SQL. Experience with large-scale financial, market, or time-series data is essential, and exposure to market data, market risk, or risk analytics is highly beneficial. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of concepts such as VaR, SVaR, sensitivities, or stress testing, and possess strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. The role requires the ability to ensure that data solutions are scalable, reliable, and auditable, and to work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data quality and integrity issues.
